The Gas Price here has dropped like $.10 in the last week alone. Oregon was second worse in the nation for prices, but they are down around $1.30 a gallon... I am so pumped (sorry about the pun) What are the prices everywhere else....? *knocking on wood*

Don't feel bad, Luxykin...here in western Kansas, it is still $1.25, too. We just dropped to that from $1.35 a few days ago, so... :)

WTF???!?!?!?!?!?!! $.90? WHere the hell do you live? The cheapest I've heard of in LA is $1.09, but I haven't seen it for myself. It's nice to have gas be cheaper again. *sigh*:)

It's $1.33 in Westwood. I go down to Santa MOnica blvd and save like 15 or 20 cents. it's only about 6 blocks.

i paid $1.12, but a lot of places on cape are around $1.25. thats why i go over the bridge to get my gas.

i'd like to go over a bridge. it reminds me of home in the bay area, but alas, LA doesn't have many bridges unless you wanna go all the way to ugly-ass long beach.

It was so expensive here for so long, I was thinking of buying barrels of crude and refining my own... hardy har. I bet it's a huge process plus it probably violates a few laws, anyone know roughly what the steps are anyway?

One station in the College area of San Diego has it for $1.29 (and 9/10ths cent of course). That's the cheapest I have found it.

why is gas ALWAYS x.xx 9/10 ???...

Yep, I've been rocking a buck 15 for the last week. It's great, 'specially for us SUV drivers. Only wish I could put some in a barrel or something for later. Anyone know how to take an auxilliary tank onto a modern fuel system? :)

Proof that there are collusive practices at work in the oil industry. Happens every summer; gas companies are just trying to push the envelope to see what people will pay.

I THINK it's because if you have say 1.29 (and 9/10) it simply looks more appealing to us and we think "gas is 1.29" so we are more inclined to buy it rather than if it says 1.30...i dunno, some subliminal marketing thing....that's my guess anyway

yeah but it is not like we have a choice, we need gas, and of they all go up we will pay because we all wanna drive :disa:

The 9/10 of a cent is one of the federal taxes on gasoline.

I know man... we Oregonians have it rough... It's looking to have settled at 1.29.9 for now... doh. I really wish it were 89.9 again like 2 or 3 summers ago.

BrewMaster

in the bay area we've got it rough for real. the LOWEST price around here that i've seen is $1.53. Most of them are around $1.65. sheesh. this sucks.

It reached a minimum at that price about 3 years ago and has now finally gotten that low again. From what I hear, OPEC is restricting export amounts again, so prices should be on the rise.
