It was my first semester of college down in Oklahoma. I got an email chain letter from a friend of mine at school and decided to look through the hundreds of names that were on there. I saw a guy named Scott from Kansas, which was interesting, since a ton of the names were from California. Anyway, I decided to write him and say hello. (He was at Kansas State University then, which is where AmRivlin goes. :) ) Long story short, we emailed for about 3 weeks, told each other we loved each other met 3 weeks after that, got engaged 2 months later (this is all done via email, phone and visiting on the weekends), I moved up there 1 1/2 months after that and lived there until summer. During the summer, he came home to his parents' house to work and save up money and I went home to my parents' house in Ok. to work and save up money, we got married August 17th of 1996 and moved to Manhattan, KS to do some more school.

Anyway, I met Donnie through a mutual friend. He was at their house working on a computer. Had his back to me and turned around long enough (barely) to wave. I was married to my ex at the time. We remained friends through our friends for a while and once I separated and all, we got together. :D

Been happy since :D

I guess partly. She was a real user, and my husband was very generous. So, she strung him along big time, while telling everyone that there was no future, and so on. I was friends with him, and I knew how nice he was and I didn't want him to get hurt, so we sort of hooked up. We've been married nearly 12 years now. If this had never happened, I don't think we would still be friends, because she is not a very nice person.

i met the ex-dumbass at marching band. he played snare and i played cymbals. i guess its a normal thing for the snares and cymbals to hook up. anyhow, he became the ex-dumbass when he slept with the ex-best friend.

we met my senior year of hs (she was a junior). had a couple classes together, a few friends in common. we were casual friends, nothing more. then, half-way through my freshman year of college, through a random series of events, we started emailing each other. we emailed INTENSELY for the next 8 months until we finally admitted we were in love soon after she started college. 3+ years later, we're still happily together :)

Mine was my Physics lab partner in college. We absolutly hated each other at first. We would have to turn in 10 page reports on our experiments, I would struggle to get the ten pages, usually finishing 5 minutes before the report was due, and she would come in with freaken Kinko bound books. Anyway we went on our first date after finals week. 11 years and 2 kids later, she's still O/C and I'm still a disorganized slob.

I don't know...she told me that she looked me up on random chat and decided to send me a message. I think it had something to do with the description I put. :P Next thing you know, we talked. Then I made arrangements to stop by in Vegas so that we could meet. We met, we liked what we saw and my weekend stay became a 6 week stay :)
Of course we ended up breaking up a few years ago, but we go back together. We both live in LA now so it makes it MUCH easier.

My heard pounded; almost to the point of jumping out of my chest as I drew closer ...and closer [:D] to her. We finally met, and she walked right past me. DOH! I called to her, "My Dear, please back that ass up for I have not yet filled myself of the incredible beauty which grows in your garden." [I was sure starting to grow, believe you me...what? Oh, right..the kids. Moving along] She looked back, and with a gleam [or was that a glare? :hmm:] in her eye, she walked back toward me. She came up to me and punched me in the eye. Oh, man did her fist against my eye make me feel all warm and tingly inside. I KNEW it was love at first sight [even though at that point, I could not see out of one of my eyes]. Anyway, after giving me a concusion, she stood there and started to laugh. I thanked her for the love pat and began to undress her mentally. With my eyes closed thinking of this, I began to move in ever so slowely to kiss her. When I was sure our lips were about to meet, I lunged forward to close the gap. At that same time she moved to one side and I fell flat on my face. While I was there laying on the ground bleeding and slipping into a coma, she must have ran off, for I have never seen her again.

So, there you have it. The whole story of how I once loved and lost.

met poopforbrains in high school. we had every single class together all day long, cept he took spanish instead of latin and german, and i took extra science instead of band. we were good friends junior year, started dating senior year. went to college together. got married our junior year so that we could get sent to the same post in the peace corps after graduation. peace corps called us six weeks before we wer supposed to get on a plane to haiti and said "oops, wait a minnit... poopforbrains has asthma... yep, we know you told us about this on the medical forms you filled out 19 months ago, but we just now noticed... no haiti for you two." so we said okay, life gives you lemons, make lemonade, let's start a family instead!

then things kinda went to hell.

now i am a rockstar.

We met in May at an all-night drive-in movie. Actually, she met my "friend" and I met her "friend". By August, we dumped the "friends" and started dating each other. By November we were engaged, and in February we married. That's right, married less than 9 months after we met. Everyone knew it wouldn't last 5 years.

Here we are after 17 years and 8 kids, and I'm more in love with her than ever.
