View Full Version : Whoa Virus scanner does work
I've been on morpheus a lot lately, and (don't ask why) i always figured that my virus scanner didn't catch anything (since it never goes off). But over the last few days... it's caught 3 "AOL Trojan Virus'" and two "Potentionally Malacious Virus'" it was kind of nice. good job Norton! :)

Norton kicks butt. However you have to keep your definitions up to date, I recomend you check them at least once a week.

Naw. I'll stick to Norton. It kicks arse. There's never any viruses on my roomies comp b/c of it. That online scan will only catch it once it's on your comp...and that's too late for me. It's worth a few bucks to avoid all the problems.

I used to use housecall....but I don't quite trust is anymore. I Scanned my comp with it and it did not find any viruses....
But then, I installed Norton right after that and it found a lot of viruses....gonna stick with norton.

Use sophos if you got the money. They update their **** before you even hear about the latest virus.

I usually run the Norton LiveUpdate at least every other day. They probably release new virus definitions three times a week on average. Now if I were on a dialup connection, I might not be as likely to want to endure the downloads. But it takes me about 15 seconds to download and install the virus updates.
