Does microsoft legally allow the reselling of thier software for regular ordinary people? even if it is a legal copy?

yah i think they allow it, i was reading a EULA (yah yah yah i read one) and they said as long as eula is song with it, its ok

Technically, no, they do not allow it. OEM software is licensed to the OEM distributer only - that means that an OEM version of Office is licensed to one particular Dell (for example), and that license cannot be transferred to another computer. This is why OEM software is so cheap. A full retail package, on the other hand, can be removed from one machine & loaded on any other machine - as long as it's not installed on more than one system, you can transfer it anywhere.

Technically the only people allowed to distribute OEM licenses is Microsoft, unless it's bundled with a computer. Some distributers sneak past this requirement by selling it with a single piece of hardware, like a hard drive.

Of course, this doesn't stop people from selling them - ;)

usually they bundle a 100mb hard drive with oem software on ebay or something cheesy like that...
