I was listening to the radio and some people were driving from San Diego to Oregon, Texas, or Washington D.C.

Is anyone doing something like that for Thanksgiving or XMas?

i'm driving, but only because flying would be stupid. i'm only going 60 miles :p

they were taking calls from people who were travelling by car, and the farthest they had found was from new hampshire to arkansas.

my best friend and her bf are flying, tho. they decided it was easier than driving. nothing scares them off of planes.

We are driving to Reno from LV. 6ish hr drive through the middle of nowhere. But we aren't doing anything different. We always drive to Reno.

Why would anybody want to go, let alone DRIVE, let alone ALWAYS DRIVE to Reno, from Vegas... please explain.

I'm driving down to Vegas via LA from SF today. It should be about 10 hours driving total. Not cause I'm afraid to fly. I still think a 1 hour plane ride is safer than a 10 hour trek on the highway (especially after the allnighter I'm pulling right now). The only reason I'm driving is because I have some "cargo(produced in Berkeley)" that might not get through Airport security. ;)

Driving a couple of hours. I didn't do planes very well before, and I'm sure as heck not getting on one now.

In one word, Family. :)

Donnie grew up in Fallon, NV, about 1 hr out of Reno. But I say Reno cuz if I said Fallon, you would say, "where?"

Well, that would be more than reason to even WALK to Reno. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family!! Hopefully I'll be having fun in the town you live!!

Two demented parents and five trip changes later :disa:, I'm hitching a ride with a co-worker. Thank goodness Southwest doesn't impose surcharges for changing flights, or I could have purchased a small European country by now.
