ok i just got a call...
Photo studio asking me if i wanted a santa job (i called them about 3 months ago) at the mall, perfect hours nice pay, and i am perfect for the job MY PARENTS TOLD ME I COULDNT because its only seasonal and i have the mcdonalds job !!! god damnit i wanted that job

can't you just like take a leave of absence or something from mcdonald's so that your parents would be happy?

Santa Job? Is that like a han... oh, nevermind.

Tell your parents that you want experience in different fields. That way, when you get a job for a career in the future, you will have multiple skills which will make you more valuable.

Talk to you manager and see if it would be possible to get a schedule that would allow you to do both.
Then how could your parents object?

did you actually ask your boss what he thought as far as taking a leave of absence? If he was cool with it, then you'd have a little more weight in dealing with your parents.

My friend Ryan was one of Santa's helpers in the mall last year :heh: It was funny as crap. But he liked it.

im 16, i got the chubby part down pat and they didnt seem to object to me being santa, i thought i would have to be older too, you usually see old people doing it, i think pay is about the same but i do work with all my friends at mcdonalds so its sorta fun
