I'm heading off to bed before heading off to Nebraska in the morning (Thanksgiving with my future son-in-law's side of the family), so I just wanted to wish everyone here a great Thanksgiving holiday. Don't worry about eating too much turkey or whatever. After all, it's only one day of the year. :)

I think this year my family will be celebrating by going to a Thai restaurant. Yea yea we're lazy that way... but Thai food is wonderful. I wish I was Thai... then I can thai you all up... ahahahaeeem... umm.

doh. that sucks. well, i have simplified my holiday by not having to go see any inlaws. they were cool, but it's nice to not have to run around to eight different dinners in two days. and two of my cousins are also getting divorced and living with their parents, so they will be around (a mixed blessing, at best) and there are a coupla new babies... ought to be a good time. and my mom makes the ass-kickinest cranberries...

I got an email from my best friend from HS this week. Paul is in the Navy stationed in Japan for 2.5 more years. He said in his email, "I never realized how lucky I was to be with my family at the holidays until I couldn't be with them." He would give so much to come home and be with his family for just this week. Hell, I would give a lot for him to be home, I miss him.

I know family can be hard, believe me I know this. But some folks don't even have the option of being with family this holiday and they wish they could. Don't take your families for granted, even the annoying ones. I know Paul and his family and he doesn't necessarily hav the best family either, but he misses them like hell since he's across the Pacific Ocean. Just my thoughts. I know I appreciate being home more than ever.

Right on, i am totally the same way. I hate this time of year. and to be honest.. i would rather NOT be with my family, and well, i don't really see a point in celebrating someone's birthday i could care less about...

but yeah... i'm down witht eh getting fat part... oh wait... been there done that, still stuck in the chair cause of it...

my family is so funny that i love being with them. I'm sorry to hear some folks aren't diggin' their families, but I love mine. I used to hate my dad, but now he's one of my favorite people. I'm not afraid to say that it's because I prayed for him and our relationship a lot. blessings to all of oyu on your turkey day.

I'm down. I love Tito's. Those tortillas are the best. There's a lot of talk about Apex's sushi place, and I'm not knocking it, but we need to have a little gathering at Tito's. that place is muy good.
