Isn't that a bad word in Scotland?
Anyway, go to compgeeks.com... there should be a banner on the G|A site. They had some for about $150.

Well? Anyone from Britain who can confirm or deny this?
A Quid is a pound. It's a nickname for a pound in England.
1 pound = 1 Quid

After all an Ensign ain't got much breathing room. I might get bumped to a Plebe.
I'm not sure what this all has to do with the 'puter, but it might have some cultural value. And this forum is the cultural place to be.

Check out www.collegelaptops.net Call them actually, I got a better deal on the phone then what the website said. They have lots of older IBM and Dell's. I got a IBM Thinkpad with a P2-266, 160mb RAM and a 4.3gb HD, and 20X CD, floppy, and Win98SE for $399 (US dollars). This guy is all over Ebay too, but I found that his reserve was higher then he wanted when I called.
Jason.
