what motherboard to get with a xp 1800

thinking about getting the amd athlon xp 1800 processor but don't know what a good motherboard would be to go with this. I have been trying to find a motherboard with front side usb ports. thanks for help.

Front side usb ports? you mean 2 extra USB headers? so they can be mounted up front. almost every motherboard out now has those. try the AMD KG7 or KG7-RAID. or Asus a7m 266 with amd 760 chipset. nice boards.

The one on ebay you mentioned is the -8kha, not the -8kha+. The latter has been the best one I've read in all the reviews, stable, and epox makes the best boards. 1 note though, I just found out it does not support RAM with ECC feature, and I just bought 2 sticks of that. So, I guess I'm just gonna go with an MSI board, forgot the name, but it has USB 2.0 ports and built in RAID. By the way, try www.newegg.com, they have the best prices.

i'm pritty sure the + just means built in raid.

atleast that was the naming scheme with the 8k7a.

The plus on this Epox board means KT266a chipset vs the non-plus which has the KT266 chipset. Get the Plus version....it's a good board.
