WIN98 problem installing

i have been working on installing win98 on a newly built KG7 mobo computer. and i have had a lot a problems after getting it finally, after skiping toons of installation files i got it to work, has anyone else had this problem. to note, i lower the overclock cpu down to factory speed and it worked better.

WD 8-gb 7200
kg7 raid
512mb 2100 ecc reg.
AMD xp 1700+ @ 1466
aiw radeon 32mb
sblive!
cdrom

another question : my kg7 doesent startup the floppy when booting, what in bios changes that, yes i know thats a dumb question but it has made be press f1 if there is a no disc i bielieve, i could be just skipping something in bios

and another thing i just have to mention

i was in bios of a 3 year old p3 of an HP, it was pothetic how junk the bios is in boughtong computers, makes me disusted

Yeah, don't install while overclocked. Always run at the stock speed when you're installing anything significant (especially a whole OS).

If you limped your computer through your OS-install on an overclocked system... then I say you should wipe it clean and reinstall at the stock speed. If your overclock really isn't 100% stable, then you never know what kind of blips or glitches could have "poisoned" the OS during the install.

And is that an eight-gig... or an eighty-gig in your system? Just curious.

You should have three or four boot-device options in your bios... set them to 1. Floppy 2. CD-ROM 3. Hard Drive 4. Zip or other (if applicable).

Or... if you just installed this motherboard... you might have plugged the Floppy Cable in upside-down (I've done that). Does it show up in Windows?
