More About DynamicXtended Resolution™ (Dxr3™) Technology

Hardware-Based PCI MPEG-2 Decoder
The Dxr3™ Decoder card offers minimal system requirements and exceptional quality compared to software-based decoders and other CPU intensive, graphics card-dependent, DVD solutions.

Dolby® Digital (AC-3®) or DTS® Audio* Output
Output high-fidelity, cinema-quality 5.1 channel or down-mix to 2-channel support on your PC sound system for the acoustical clarity of a surround-sound, theater-like experience.

Dynamic De-Interlacing
Dxr3™'s advanced architecture elevates video quality to the next level. 6-tap filtering and scaling techniques virtually eliminate "combing" effects or artifacts that may appear around quickly moving objects, providing sharp, crisp, and clean video images.

Advanced Video Color Processing
To deliver higher resolution video, Dxr3™'s advanced video color processing fully utilizes the on-board 24-bit DAC so what you see are sharper images and crystal clear displays. The enhanced video color processor also enables you to control your television's brightness, contrast, and saturation when connected to the Dxr3™, while allowing you to adjust your VGA settings independently from your television's settings.

Keep Pace with your Graphics Adapter
Creative®'s Dxr3™ DVD decoder card keeps up with fast-paced graphics adapter technology by supporting Windows® resolutions of up to 1600x1200 at 85Hz. Dxr3™ works with your graphics adapter, so you do not need to adjust the resolution of your PC monitor when watching movies on your PC.

Outstanding performance on just a Pentium® 133MHz
The Dxr3™ is a hardware-based, PCI MPEG-2 decoder card with overlay implementation, so it requires minimal resources from your PC. A Pentium® 133MHz processor is all that is needed for superior performance and cost-effective solution to upgrade your PC to a complete DVD entertainment system.
