I tried to install windows (I tried 98se and XP) but after i put the CD in and it tried to load it it says Failure: invalid system disk, insert new disk and press any key. Any ideas how to make it work?

Have you formatted your Hard Drive yet?

Oh, yes... also check the "boot order" in the BIOS. Make the CD drive the first device... until it's loaded... then switch it to CD, Floppy, HD.

Also, make sure there is no disk in the floppy drive, unless it is the boot disk.

I seem to remember having this problem in the past, but I can't remember what was wrong. You might also want to check the hardware, esp. the ide cables.

1st of all try booting the disk on a diffrent computer to see if it does work.

next I would try swapping new IDE cable.

if evything else fail try this http://bootdisk.com/ - make bootup floppy:D
