If Ford were to go retro, why couldn't they go ALL the way?

I mean, bring the cars back, but keep them the way they were.

In my opinion the SLK is quite an ugly car itself. Now the CLK...those are a totally different story.

what kind of improvements does it make?

From my understanding, the Kompressor is basically Mercedes version of a super charger. Which is why the 2.3L (4 cyl) Kompressor engine puts out more horsepower than the 2.6L (This is the engine in the C240 6 cyl) engine.

mercedes kompressor cars are supercharged and usually intercooled. but the kompressor name is used because of what a supercharger does, it compresses air and forces it into the engine
