700 bucks! toys r us near me has a crapload of them and a few other big name stores still have them. This is not like the PS2 crisis like last year.

Well in los angeles area, the xbox are basically sold out, I checked walmart, toyrus, BEstbuy, Circut city. They only get a few boxes a week, there are 2 xbox's per box.

Maybe cause your NyC, theres not a demand for Xbox units, due to post 9/11 (i dont know)

Hey, I know there is a demand for Xbox in impacted cities. If you dont want to buy one thats fine. Parents , gamers etc. are scrambling to find a XBOX.

LoL My friend is a store manager @ a target store I went where they stored all of the x-boxes there were at least 120 of them yes they tell customers that that they are out but come back tomorrow they are recieving a shipment b/c the folks keep coming back in to buy other things it's a strategy that always work.

Jeez... I tried to trade mine on Anandtech and mentioned I'd sell it for $399 and the thread got locked almost instantly. Nobody on these boards is going to pay that much when every day a couple places get some in stock and Ebay has them for less then $400. C'mon buddy.

On that note, I did trade my Xbox for a PS2 w/ 11 games and 3 controllers (with the Multilink adapter). So some people are pretty damn desperate. Suckers.
