Well I don't have it yet, but my dad went into the Mitsubishi dealer today and secured for me a new Lancer. I am getting a very basic model to keep cost down, broke college students aren't very good at making money. Actually they are usually broke ;)

Well just wanted you guys to be the first to know. Now I need to find some nice after market parts to make my basic Lancer a kick ass lancer :D

EVO is way out of my price range. Even though that would be sweet :)

Eventually I'd like to have mine fixed up to a almost Evo type level

do they even sell EVOs in the US? i thought they weren't. i just remember them being sold in the UK and japan.

They are not selling them in the U.S.
Thats why Im still waiting (hope in a year or 2 it will be out)

Congrats. I'll bet the US Lancer would look sweet with the addition of no more than a nice pair of wheels (16-17") and maybe lowered just a tid bit, for a more agressive stance.

Oh yeah... I was talking to Gabe and he knows where I can get a EVO front end so I might go all the way and really fix up this sucker. I'll keep you guys updated. Too bad it can't be like my comp though where I get all my parts for "free" ;)

Nice wizard, just remember though. Go before show. That engine they put in the US lancer needs A LOT of work. Screw the looks first.

Good advice spig.

I'll go by and show it to you if you want :)

I am going to need help finding parts, I have some friends high up in car craft so I am going to get interior from them but I need engine parts and don't know where to go. Friend= Owner... that guys has a pimp Lambo I rode around in. I guess that should have been the most fun car... ;) He also has a nice ferrari and a couple NSXs

Also I really want to keep the warrantee :D

my jetta may look stock (except for the exhaust)...but that's the point, suprise the ricey civic dx's thinkin they as fast as they look.

good. b/c the show of your stock looking Jetta beats their ricey Civics anyday. I hate those sh1tty lookin rice rockets. they look so ridiculous. i think one here at UCLA is trying to look like and alien space ship. screw that ugly add-on crap. it looks cheap and does nothing for performance. you're on the right path.

well there is good news for all you EVO waiters out there. They are bringing it to the USA in the year 2002. According to the CEO of mitsu at least...
