Help! Monitor question...

I just brought home a Sony G420S with the FD Trinitron tube and for some reason there is two line going horizontally across the screen. Both are evenly centered from the bottom and the top. Are aperture grille displays like this?? Please help I just spent all my money on this thing!

All Trinitron Monitors are like this. Another thread on the subject, somewhere, but there is nothing wrong with your monitor.

they're extremely annoying as a matter of fact!

on a side note, how should i clean this monitor if it gets dirty?

You'll get used to them.

Clean your monitor with water & paper towels. Don't bother with any of the cleaning solvents everyone tries to sell you. Wipe the screen with a wet paper towel, then immediately dry it (otherwise you get water spots). That's all I've ever used.
