Alright... effing Adelphia dropped the @home service... and gave me "PowerLink"...

And I'm having trouble with my Linksys router. I went to adjust the settings and pressed the Apply button. That took me to the Continue Button screen... and that was the last time I could access the router.

Cripes.

I reset the router via the reset button on the front of it. And still nothing. I can't access the router settings via IE.


Any ideas?

can you ping the router?
maybe it changed your IP address.
Are you definitely connected to it? are there link lights on both ends?

1. Do a release / renew and make sure you are getting an IP from the router
2. the connection between the cable modem shouldn't matter here, even if the router cannot communicate with the outside, you should be able to talk to it.
3. Have you done any of the firmware upgrades on the router? whenever i do them, they only seem to **** things up.
4. you usually cannot **** up the router by just changing settings, so i woudln't worry too much about it.
