Hey Yall,
I'm CLUELESS when it comes to buying a laptop. My friend wanted me to find out what's good out there for laptops nowadays. Her budget is $1000. You guys happen to know anything about laptops to help me out? Some links would be great too

You can get a Dell Inspiron 2500 for about a grand. Also look at the refurbished systems - you can get some great deals there.

I think IBM is well built. Mine came with 3 years warranty for 1355.00

Thinkpads are nicer than Dells, but also more expansive for what you get. For business use, get a Thinkpad. For home, get a Dell. IMHO.
