is there any way to find out what the Hard Drive speed is?

use sisoft sandra (http://www.sisoftware.demon.co.uk/sandra/index.htm) and do a hard drive benchmark. you can get the normal version of sandra for free, which is all you really need.

One more question what is a UDMA/33 IDE ?

Ultra DMA33, if that helps. thats the speed rating of your drive, or at least the cables. if your hd supports UDMA66 or UDMA100 but your cables only support 33, thats the speed your hd will communicate with your computer. ive heard the difference between 33 and 66 is noticable, but between 66 and 100 is almost negligable.
