So, I am thinking about going wireless with two desktop workstations. I know wireless is great for laptops, but does anyone have an opinion on regular workstations. Also what are the best wireless options out there now. I have been looking at D-Link and Linksys....any opinions are greatly appreciated.

Don't get either... Get the SMC barricade. It's the best and the prices are good. I've got the SMC access point that I use and it's nice. My friend has the barricade

do not get linksys WAP11 it sucks. i have to constantly reboot it to get it to connect.wap11 is a cheaper solution if you already have a router. i rather go with the SMC wireless access point. the reason i went with the linksys is that i can replace the antennas for a higher gain antenna(get some distance- i was trying to networking my uncles house using wireless, it works but the range SUCKS) but of this rebooting crap i'm gonna return it. And about the pcimcia wireless card I am using the smc it works pretty well with my thinkpad. I like the utility to bad its is not WHQL but it is working with XP fine.
the nice thing about wireless is u can sit anywhere in the house and be online :)
