I'm thinking of getting Adobe Primiere, but my only operating systems are 95, 98se, and Me... (I think I have DOS 6.22 and Win 3.1 on floppies :heh:) Anyway, I've heard that Adobe Primiere has terrible memory leaks in 98 and Me.
1) Can anyone confirm this?
2) What is a memory leak, and what does it do?
3) Who wants to bonk me for not getting XP for $50 when I had the chance?

1) I've used version 4.2 for a couple of years now and I haven't had any problems with Windows 95 or 98. I didn't notice a memory leak.
2) I don't know the technical explanation but basically software writes stuff to your Ram and forgets to clean it out. Over time you loose system resources. Not a major problem, a simple reboot will fix the problem.
3) **BonK**

Yeah, but I thought all programs did that. Use a little chunk of ram memory that they never give back.

Ahhh, the magic of Win9x :D
Yes, most programs forget to give up their little chuck of ram but they aren't supposed to forget. If I'm not mistaken it's more of a Win9x issue than an issue with the particular app. Win2000 (and XP) has better memory management.
