If you find the Download page, scroll down to "Mandrake Linux 8.1 ISO images mirrors for i586 and higher" and find the mirror that is closest to you (or the one that is working closest to you). You need to download Mandrake81-cd1-inst.i586.iso, but you can also optionally download Mandrake81-cd2-ext.i586.iso and Mandrake81-cd3-supp.i586.iso for extras and support respectively. There is also a checksum listed at the bottom of the mirror list that you can use to verify that your downloads were thoroughly successful. Burn the ISOs and install! :P
Also check out www.linuxiso.org Oh, and I wouldn't bother with Disc 3 - the "extras" one. I've never needed it, and the web will likely have more up-to-date stuff besides. You won't need it during the installation anyway.
thanks! i just got the 1st 2 (i noticed rh needs 2 now) to be safe. apparently mandrake has laptop support on the 2nd...so i'm good.
