anyone know of a good, reliable place to buy a parallel port webcam (not usb).

would have put this in the need deals section but i wanted more people to see it and im not necessarily looking for a deal, just a good place to buy one from (i can't seem to find any).

I mean that would be slow, why not USB?

almost all webcams are 30 fps, i doubt that a parellel (max transfer 1 mb/sec) would be able to do that compared to USB (max transfer 12 mb/sec, exception: usb2) what? you have no usb ports? i've yet to find a parallel cam dude. good luck with this noah's ark-esk search.

yes they exist, webcams came before usb.

no, its not so i can stream myself (it's not for me at all actually).

its for a laptop with a busted usb port.

im almost broke so i was gonna try to get a parallel webcam, i guess i'll just start looking for a pcmcia usb card.

bah, i ordered one, couldn't find one that wasnt refurbished except on ebay (i hate ordering from ebay unless for some strange reason i don't mind waiting a few months to get what i pay for).

get on ebay and look for a Creative Labs Webcam 1 or 2
I dont believe they made the webcam 3 in a parallel version.

The webcam 2 parallel was kinda ok if you were running win98se. with the newer WDM drivers.
