OK OK OK i need help, my hard-drive is on a ribbon cable with no slave, but my cd drive is. The hard-drive i am on has no problems, but the hard-drive i want to slave does have problems, it always has problems with the registry etc. is there a way i can use both in peace? without problems?

just format the slave drive and everything should be fine

thanks... formatting took 10 hours but it was worth it.

unless it was like a terrabyte drive, that is way too much. I don't even think a low level format would take that long...I'd be worried about other issues.

lol 64 megs of bad clusters... i think that may be the problem... no problems now
