ok, That car is a 325is (i believe - maybe a 318is).

The body kit is tastefull, the wheels are fine, the paint is gread...

One little problem i have pointed out. The ///M logo badge on the front grille.

As most of you know the M3 cars are completly different, have a stronger engine, better handling etc. I call it rice when someone mis-lables their car like that.

Kinda like putting a "Type R" sticker on a car with a non-type R engine in it.

I (jokingly) accused the owner of "ricing" his car and he got soo offended.

Maybe it's too "charged", but how bout calling it "Krauting" your car... or maybe "Schultzing", since obviously one who would do that to a car "knows nuttink!"

it's funny how people put the //M badge on the back RIGHT NEXT to the 325is, 525i, whatever model it is. have you ever seen that? yeah. pretty sad.

Its stupid but not really ricey since its not a M3 badge, its just a M badge which just signifies the sport division of BMW. Like AMG for Merc. But most likely the guy just put it for show and has no go inside that engine. Makes it a waste of $30 for the badge. :heh: I think what makes it worse is that its a north american vehicle and the guy put on a euro plate in front. . . now that is just stupid.

..as mentioned above, the best are those //M318i ,//M5(on a 3 series) ,etc etc haaha! I HAVE seen the AMG badges on Benzos w/AMG rims and/or body kits, so I suppose thats not as bad...

also, is there any other word than "rice" out there? I used to consider this totally racist but now it is a pretty common term-

i remember seeing a BMW 750iL with a distincly mercedez-benz v-12 badge on the side behind the rear doors where mercedez-benz puts it on the older s600s, cl600s, etc. i don't think i've ever seen a BMW with a v-12 badge on it.

I don't know crap about beemers. i alaways thought that when i say a BMW 3 series, 5 series, or otherwise with the ///M badge on the back that it was outfitted with the M3 engine. I've seen it on Z3's before. I guess I'm wrong. glad that misconception is cleared up.

i believe the x50 series cars really are v12's (i.e. 750 / 850)

i know the 850 cars are for sure. but still... a merc emblem on a bimmer.... eww.

and yes, rice is completely racial - what else would it be? you dont see many "white boys" ricing their cars doo you? (ok, now they do more than before...)

it used to be mostly asians that did it. Thefore the term rice evolved. Its also mostly done to asian cars, but again, now its for a lot of US cars too...

Actually, I've seen that. It might be normal for some BMW 750. Might be market dependent.
