so last night, i was driving home and at the gas station around the corner from me, gas was 99 cents (well, 99.9, but you know what i mean). i was so hyped. filled my car as full as it would go (fortunately, my tank was mostly empty so i could take full advantage of the low low low prices).
i don't think i've paid that little for gas since the summer of 1998, or possibly january of 1999 (since i'm a nerd and keep all my receipts, i could go back through and figure it out, but i have slightly better things to do w/ my time).
anyway, it's just awesome it's so cheap! are the rest of you finding cheap gas, or is it just a detroit thing?

I have been able to find gas for 85.9 cents/gallon in the Cincinnati area. On average, it's probably been below a dollar for a month or two now.

i didn't think about it as i was posting, but michigan has significantly higher fuel taxes than some other states. i know that when i go through ohio it usually is at least 10 cents/gallon less.
85.9/gallon is just awesome. almost enough to make me want to visit cincinnati ;)

I saw as low as 89.9 for 87 octane. I'm still paying 113.9 for chevron 91 premium.

Ya it's in the high 80's and low 90s in Texas. It's a great relief man, especially driving around during christmas vacation.

hehehehe Funny story

It is $1.19 here in western Kansas. (Well, at least, in MY stinkin town.) On the way home from OK yesterday, we stopped 2ce to fill up in towns where the gas was $.94! We have half a tank, rather than almost empty like it would have been had we not stopped. Hopefully it will last us until gas goes down a little more after New Years. (Oh, and side note - Our car is great to travel with! Got us 32 mpg on the way there!)
