So today i go to return a driving book to the library.

The librarian takes it and scans it then looks at it and gets this attitude with me about a couple of scratches on the back of it... it was new so they were obviously my fault. They werent even bad and these kids next to me agreed with me and she told them to leave before she gave them a referral.

Then she told me they would be contacting me if i was to be charged for damages to the book. What a bitch. Just cause her life sucks doesnt mean she has to take it out on future-bearing kids like me. Its not like it comes out of her salary... it was like 2 scratches you couldnt even notice. Crap now i have to pay for it?

What i dont is that its gonna get a little wear and tear SOMETIME. What the hell does she think? Its gonna remain perfect forever? If i didnt scratch it the next kid would have. WHen will it end? If i dont scratch it that means its still perfect and therefore the next kid cant and that means the next kid cant and so on and so on.

What a load of suckage.

Do you have to pay for a new book totally? I would ask for the book back if they are going to charge you fully for it. :)

yeah they charge me fully for it. I dont think shes gonna follow through though... she just likes giving kids a hard time.

if they charge you, go back, take the book, throw it on the floor, piss all over it, then walk out. as you walk out look at her and say, "I just wanted to get my money's worth if you're gonna charge me for a whole new book."

BTW, I would love to see a video of the librarian's face if you do that El Scorcho.
