Is there some software i can install on a windows 95 system that will make certain folders come up as drives when i connect to another machine via USB cable?
Are you running the version of 95 that supports USB? You need Win95 OSR2 plus USB patch to run USB.

can you already communicate via USB port with the other computer? I've never seen that done before. but maybe you could try "Mapping as a network drive" from the remote machine. From the remote machine, you right-click "Network neighborhood" or the equivalent, and click "Map a network drive". YOu will then have to type in the path, say machine name is "doobie" you would give the path as \\doobie\mp3 for the mp3 share on that machine. See? THen pick a drive letter and you're set. But if USB communications doesnt work like that i dont know what to tell you!
Good Luck

only time i've ever seen direct cable connect with windows, it was over serial port (or maybe parallel port) and barely worked. maybe they have a new utility for DCC over USB? It isn't that complicated, i'm sure there is one out there...
