Major Suckage! Dell & Altec Lansing Speakers

Well, just got an email from Dell about the Altec Lansing Speakers that I ordered from them. The deal was posted on the deals page and it rocked. Problem turns out to be that Dell made some big mistake in their inventory and didn't actually have the speakers in stock! (that's their story, at least) My order was cancelled. What makes this a MAJOR suckage, as opposed to just plain ole' suckage, is that I placed the order over a week ago. They don't email me until 8 days later (when the package should have already arrived at my house) that they had made this mistake. That, in itself, wouldn't be that bad. But the speakers were to be a gift and now, with Christmas 4 days away, I'm going to have to scramble to find another gift. Working overseas, with no malls to run out to, it's going to be pretty hard to find something and make sure that it gets there by Christmas. Suckage. Dell should have found the problem earlier and done a better job.

me too...they did the same thing to me but told me that it was an inventory problem....they when i told them that that wasnt "MY" problem...they changed the story to my credit card # was wrong...I got the run around...and from the company that "I" always read about as a "great" company for custumer service.....NOT and what the hell is with the 10% coupon....like im going to buy from them again. Have u ever listened to the Jerky boys cd/tape....the pizza manager w/ the arab guy...thats what i feel like saying to DELL...well....thats all ...its off my chest...im still pissed but oh wells....Ive already hurt their company...I always told everyone that dell was the "best" and told them about the deal i got(the speakers) and now i tell them that dell sux and 3 peeps that i know "were" going to buy Dells w/ their income tax checks...that isnt going to happen now...oh wells.. :bigmouth:take that DELL:angry: :angry: :angry: :bawl:
