Video card probs

Hey guys...I have a MSI GF2 pro...Well I'm trying to play Wolfenstein (sp?) and it says It can't find my openGL programs. And whenever I play Any half-life game...I always have to set the video modes to software instead of openGL. Any suggestions on what to d0?

Check to see if you have an opengl32.dll in your windows/system folder or WinNT/system32 folder if you are using Win2000. The only opengl32 driver you need should be there and its by microsoft.

I'm running win XP....where to find the file again?

both my machines have this same problem

one is:

amd athlon 1 ghz
128 sdram
GeForce 2mx 400 64MB ram
WinXP (was installed on top of Win2k, NOT dual boot)

the other is:

intel P3 450 mhz
192 ram
TNT2 32MB ram
WinXP (was installed clean)

funny thing is that couple months ago, i was able to run the RtCW multiplayer demo on the P3 system w/ no problems.

and yes, my opengl32.dll file is sitting there in the SYSTEM32 directory, on both machines

so, any suggestions out there?

oh, i just realized the wolf mp demo stopped working after i intsalled winXP.

just dnloaded the newest nvidia drivers (on dial-up), so hope this works

Hmmm....I just put it in my system folder...and the stupid game still does not work on my computer!

Win XP does not come with opengl drivers, but if you install the nvidia reference drivers, that will fix the problem.

hmm...return to castle wolfenstein works fine on my XP machine. I have a Nvidia TNT2 M64 with the detonator 23.11 drivers...runs beautifully.
