I need to find out what the hardware address on a users Sony Vaio is, and she is running WinXP. I don't know jack about XP so I was wondering, how do you find out the hardware address of the NIC? While we're at it, does anyone know how to check it in Win2k? Thanks!

go to run command and type "cmd" it will open DOS prompt
type "ipconfig /all"
it should show the ip address and nic address

Sumyundud's trick works in W2K, NT4, and XP. Win9x versions use 'winipcfg'.
