My cars rear defroster post broke off the grid, the rear defroster has a post that is attached to the circuit on the rear window. I repaired it years ago with an electrical conduction bonding cement. I can no longer find that product, I did find a kit from a company called Permatex, the product is called "Rear Window Defogger Tab Adhesive" But it didn't work, it just wouldn't hold. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix it?

I don't know if this stuff will stick on a window, but there is a silver coated tape for air conditioning and heater ducts (not duct tape), that has a backing that peels off.It is incredibly sticky and it may conduct electricity. Home Depot has it.

It'll probably be too resistant. But if you call Pep Boys, or whatever chain is nearby, you'll find stuff that you can paint on.

I called the company, Permatex, and told them their product failed. They said it has a shelf life and perhaps it was too old. They are sending me some more in the mail. I will report the results.
