that is, the call time ON HOLD to Asus...

we bought a Dual Athalon board and it came in today, and it wont see a keyboard after the BIOS screen goes away...

Well see how long they'll keep us on hold. We're hanging up at 5pm.....

Same thing happened to me with an Asus board. I had the keyboard plugged into the PS2 slot for the mouse. And the mouse in the PS2 for the keyboard. Took me a DAMN long time to figure it out too.

hehe - we tried everything... including that, and about 4 keyboards...

see, it works fine in the bios, kinda. and the mouse works fine, and it'll run windows fine, but the keyboard just dont work :)

right at 4 hours, we got someone - a SALESMAN no less... he actually knew about computers though (odd) and sugested trying the Mobo out of the case (ok, old trick, but sometimes it does work) and that it might actually be bad (doh).

then we called our distributor and they're gonna have one on our dock monday morning.... we'll see.

today was the wors day for computers...

i had this one - Inter 815Mini w/ Lan&video - rock solid little boards - been using them for the last year no problems.

ok well i install this one, adn it just starts rebooting randomly, or not seeing the CD-Rom drive, or copying files badly. i end up replacing every component, except the floppy drive, cable, and the processor, and it finally worked. Not sure what piece was bad.

I even went through 5 Win 98 CD's and 2 Pre-install floppies...

had two other computers act Nuts today too. Some day.
