Okey...The stupid college I'm at is limiting my bandwidth for the internet downloading. they are being really stupid and capping off our network at 100 megs every 12 hours. So once I reach that stupid 100 megs they shut off my connection. That is really stupid! I also have a question...I was playing halflife on the internet...for a long time...and my connection didn't shut off...does anybody know why? How many megs does a game of halflife take...say for a period of 30 minutes.
I think this works in WinXP and I'm sure it works in just about any other OS with the My Network Places setup. Goto the LAN connection that you use for internet and right click and gotot STATUS. It should say how much data has been received. Reboot, go play some HL for 30 minutes and then go check ;)

CS/Hl pulls and pushes about 2 - 4 Kb/s
so go figure about 14Mb an hour.
