What do you guys think of the new (http://www.motorcars-intl.com/feature.html) Lamborghini?

http://www.motorcars-intl.com/images_t/murc/murc1cl.jpg

Stats include:

Displacement
6192 cc

Max Power
580 CV (426 kW) at 7500 rpm

Torque
650 Nm at 5400 rpm

Max. Speed
exceeds 205 mph

0-60 mph
3.8 sec.

Transmission
New 6 Speed Gearbox

Cylinders
12 V

Engine Cooling
2 active variable flow air intakes

Expected price is above $200,000.

508 horsies is quite nice, but this new model features traction control (optional, perhaps?), which is a first for Lambo. The styling is breathtaking, to say the least. No spoiler to be seen for now, but I do notice some side wings in one of the pictures that imitate a rear spoiler.

Overall, I'd have to say that I want one!

That's one bad ass looking car. The over simplified body makes it look like a polygon model from a video game or soemthing. I'll have one please.

I don't especially like the front.
But when I first saw the Countach, I thought it looked awkward when viewed in a magazine;but in real life, it was awesome. Sometimes pictures don't do justice to automobiles.

Its pretty cool for a Lamborghini, but I like the Ferrari 550 Maranello a lot more.

What the hell is with those metric specs? No one in their right mind measures torque with Newton-meters and power with kW.

I love the lack of a wing(normally wings just look rediculous).

One last thing, 4 or 5 valves per cylinder?

Ahem... I suppose all Europeans (e.g. the people who designed/assembled the car) aren't quite right up there? :)

I suppose you're right because in either metric or English, horsepower and torque readings will be Greek to the rich, balding, American CEOs and the moronic gangsta rappers that will be buying this car.

actually those make more sense and are accepted by everyone but Americans in the world...so be a little more open-minded please

Actually, I'm pretty open minded and have nothing against the metric system(it is better). Still, even Ferrari's website has displacement, horsepower, torque, and other vital specifications in both metric and English.

That just goes to show that the cost of living out West is a beeeyotch!

I went to the Indy 500 in the mid-80's and I was amazed at the house you could get for less than 50% of the cost of an equivalent house here.

if you want to be AMAZED by housing prices, check out west virginia. when i was working down there, we'd always take a gander at real estate guides, and you could seriously get a 4,000-5,000 sq ft house with pool, cathedral ceilings, etc for like $200k to $250k. not that i'd want to live there......

Where did poor old West Virginia get it's reputation?
I know that I was born in Virginia just right across the border from W.Va.. If I would have been born there, I would probably have been a marked man for life.

front page of the newspaper out here run an article on cost of living...it ranked the top 10 most expensive counties to live in for america...Santa Clara topped it...San Mateo and San Francisco came in 3rd and 4th (manhanttan was 2nd). 3 counties of silicon valley are the most expensive to live in...sheesh

500hp + AWD + TC + Limited slip's on both axles.

Raise the revs to about 1k under redline, floor it and drop the clutch, get ready to grab 2nd, 2 seconds ago. Yummm.

The braking have to be amazing and I can't even begin to imagine what it handles like. Lambo's are TINY, almost Mazda Miata sized vehicles. I'm not sure of the weight on this, though, anybody know?

The styling is amazing. By far, in my opinion, the best looking Lambo to date.

boy howdy! i am from San Mateo County and my parents bought our house for about $350K (which was a grip back then). now the houses around us are selling upwards of a million bucks. the boom in Silicon Valley has made property prices sky-rocket. it was a nice investment, but if my parents sell, they won't be able to buy another house in the area cuz it's so damn expensive....

The cheapest houses around here start at $200,000. And that would be a matchbox house at that.

West Virginia
