Wow, their behavior is going to really be picked apart. Destroying all those records? I thought by law you had to keep all that stuff for several years. Got|coverup?

I hope the links to the Bush administartion don't get too obvious. When things get too sticky in the Presidential arena, to divert attention, they usually start wars.
Watch out, Iraq, you may end up as the scapegoat sooner than you think!

I feel sorry for my friends who work there...well for everyone else except for my friends(who weren't that great anyway)

They basically threw in my face how great Anderson was, all the perks, and the upper social class they'll be in and thought I was being so stupid working for a small company that doesn't even show up as a blip on anyones radar. Well...my company has been around for 21 years and the kind of exposure Anderson is having is sad.

Sometimes I wonder if they blindly follow orders just to suck up and get ahead. I dunno...that's my two bitter cents. I'm employed and I thank the heavens for that. They need to be assimilated or something...admitting you destroyed all traces of Enron documents has put them down by a lot already. Sigh.

Sometimes a cliche' fits a situation very well and is the best way to express you opinion of an incedent. It also adds weight to your opinion as it has a strong precedent, it wouldn't be a cliche' if it hadn't been said many times before.
Just call me "Your Majesty". :heh:

I know it sounds retarded. I guess I feel sorry for them if they lost their job but after I wrote it I reflected on the 'praise' / brainwash they were selling me a few years ago before I started working. It was b/c of the "my company is better than yours and I'll amount to something than you'll ever will' attitude that I let our friendship drift.

Yah so my earlier statement was contradictatory.

Standard damage control steps are now being taken. From http://apnews.excite.com/article/20020115/D7H26TF00.html:

WASHINGTON (AP) - Accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP said Tuesday it is firing the lead auditor of collapsed Enron Corp. and is putting three other auditors on leave as part of its inquiry into the destruction of Enron-related documents.

Andersen said it also is replacing the management of its office in Houston, where Enron is based. Four Andersen partners in the Houston office "have been relieved of their management responsibilities," the accounting firm said.

The firm said it will fire any other employees found to have participated in the improper destruction of documents.
