I come into work today to find out that my purchase for the Joy Luck book (why the hell would I order that) was going to shipped to me today. I called Amazon and they said that the order was placed through a third party vendor through Amazon. The rocket scientist at Amazon (877.243.2912 Justin)told me that I need to deal with the 3rd party vendor. I then contacted the third party vendor who has hotmail account ([email protected])and no phone number and he says that I placed the order through Amazon and that I have to deal with them.

My buddy :johnwoo2: Justin the Jacka$$ said that I could refuse the shipment, great except for the fact that they are sending it USPS and there is no way to refuse it. Well I could go to the post office and send it back. Whatever. Sure I have nothing better to do with my free time.

At to top it all off they used by bankcard number so I will have to cancel my bankcard, have an investigation put in place and put a hold on my account. What fun. And I will have to eat the cash until they figure out the dispute. They said I could receive another bankcard in a month.

What a bunch a bull$hit.

Anyone else have this problem??

I deleted my CC Info out of Amazon and I would recommend that you so the same.

What a way to start the day.

Well, I doubt it is Amazon that is the major problem. Sounds like someone got ahold of you CC... :( And that's a major bummer...

Just call Amazon back, ask to speak to a Customer Service Specialist. Tell them that you did not authorize this, that you did not place the order. They should say to send the book and they will refund the charge with no big deal whatsoever. They can also help make sure your CC has not been used for any other unauthorized purchases and if so, work with you & your CC company to get those charges refunded or whatever.

Hope it works out.

Ok, I'm not really that upset with Amazon... because this was really my own fault... but still.

Again a 3rd party issue. I was looking at two DVD players from the same guy. (Used)

I ordered one of them on a Sat. 20 mins. after doing a little more research I decided I wanted the other one. So I e-mail both the 3rd party guy and Amazon 3 times a piece asking to cancel the order. At this point the card hadn't been charged and the order hadn't even been passes on to the 3rd party guy.

They both tell me I have to talk to the other. (Run around)

Another round of e-mails.

E-mail from amazon.com the next day says,
Card is charged as order is passed on to 3rd party guy.

I e-mail 3rd party guy (Lastcall... or finalcall I forget) and ask him to cancel the order or switch it for the other model he sells (which is the same price, so that would have worked out well.)

But no! He says that there is nothing he can do and I have to cancel it with Amazon. He and amazon both say that the order can be cancelled before it is shipped or the card charged. Well, that is a crock because I e-mailed them both 3 times before the card was charged (actually 20 mins. after order was made with confirmation e-mail that the order had not been passed on to the 3rd party guy yet.)

So in short. If you buy something from Amazon.com make sure you order the right thing. Once you click Authorize or Accept or whatever, it's Done!

NOTE: I'm not complaining about Amazon, as much as I am about their LACK of customer support or accessible 1-800 number. I like walmart. They don't care, they just take things back. =)

Can't you just contest the charges w/ your credit card company? Let them stress about it, that's why you pay them...
