Ok idiot question here, what in God's name is that?

If that's a 4 cylinder, I doubt that an extra turbo would help increase power. I have been led to believe that additional turbos are only required on 8 cylinder engines. Anyone have figures to support that?

That's a straight 6. Hp ranges from a stock 330hp or so (rated at 280ps) to 1200ps in modified trim.

I labeled all the parts with the help of my extensive knowledge of car parts. For the most part, I specialize in fat twins w/ straight 6's (not the 4's). This is one hot puppy. Apex is right. This is a straight 6. I can never look at these babies when they're stock because they're rated at 280ps. Modified trim brings it up to 1200ps (which is acceptable). EsDeeLoco, feel free to throw any questions you have at me.

For anyone who is impressed with my car part recognition abilites; dont be. It's actually very easy. When you've been in the car business (or "the biz" as we call it) as long as I have, everything comes as if it were 2nd nature.

BTW epoxi, better get that stock belt checked out. It looks like it has a B-line fracture in the 3K section. Might cause some serious damage if it's not attended to.

Wow, passwird I'm impressed. But don't forget tha fact that it's "the and only GTR" of the counterpart of the "Groundline" Model. Oh and did anybody notice that the first picture is not the after pic and the second picture is not the before pic. Also don't forget that this particular model of engine is most known for being worked on by the guy in the green shirt. But I'm sure all of you all knew that.

BTW, that's a blue wall in the background. dayummm.

Just went through my GTR Twin Turbo service guidebook and it seems that what I thought was a B-Line fracture in the belt was actually how it was manufactured. The small crack allows air to fully ventilate. As air is circulated around the combustion pump, the injection timer is reset and fuel flows more evenly to the catyltic converter. So in other words, don't fix it. YOU NEED IT! :D Sorry for the false alarm.

i don't know much about cars, but since when does fuel flow to the catalytic converter? the catalytic converter is in the exhaust system i believe.

You're forgetting to take into consideration that this is a fat twin. General rules of physics and automotive science go bye bye.

So this is what you spend your time studying Passwird! Explains a lot! :)

I hope you're not talking "raw" fuel". Even running too rich a mixture can severely damage catalytic converters, rendering them useless.
Would someone explain the term "ps" in relation to power? I have never heard of it.

Passwird - I'm kind of new to this, so sorry if this is a stupid question, but is that a variable timing cross thrust linkage assembly on the K&L filter?

you've got to make sure the Floyd isn't stripped. Decent thread on the Floyd is paramount to ensuring the efficient working of your engine.

Now we're talking... The Skylines could be made into monsters without major modification.

Nissan screws up when it drops the RB26 for the VQ35. :disa:

PS is how the rest of the world measure HP. Even our HP rating are different depending on SAE HP and Standard HP. 1 JIS PS is about 1.01 SAE HP

Also, if i wanted LOTS of power, I'd get rid of the twin set up and go with a single T88H or something.
