People to race them with...
I used to be into that when I was in college, 10+ years ago.
Had a blast.
Now I'm "all grown up", married, and have no friends with enjoyable
hobbies like that. Had to find other hobbies, like my boat.
I'd get back into it in a heartbeat if I knew anyone to run 'em with.
But unfortunately, like some other activities I can name, it's just not quite as much fun by yourself. :)

Donnie has one. No body on it. We got it running after 8 years of sitting collecting dust. Once. We can't get it running again. Then again, we really haven't tried. He used to sink a lot of money into it. He is going back to the hobby stores lately and pricing parts. I really think he wants a new one. Maybe this summer when I get a job while the kids are with their dad...

Got a Hummer and a Dodge Ram at work. We used to get on the roof and race. Ahh, those were the days...

Want: an electric 4x4... but I'm really looking to get a boat, but I might build that from scratch.

I have a TYCO Rebound 4x4, if you flip it over, it keeps going! Such an amazing thing...

I think I'll have to go with Shogun on this one.

DF, check your glow plug. Sometimes those engines can eat right through glow plugs. If you unscrew the plug, place it in the starter wire that connects to it, ground it to the heatsink on the motor, and then hit the starter switch, the glow plug should glow red. Or, you can try squirting a little fuel onto the glow plug and listen for a sizzling sound of the glow plug burning up the fuel. Then you know the element inside it isn't busted and it still works. Also, when you are starting it, push in on the connection where you plug the starter into the truck. That little red light on the push start should always be red, if it isn't, the truck won't start. This is all assuming that the T-Maxx you have is push button started. If it's a pull start, then I would recommend you try a new glow plug, but I doubt it is. This is the number one reason I sold my Nitro Rustler was because it ate through $3 glow plugs like there was no tomorrow because of the Pro 15 engines they use. I still liked those engines though...

The motor should still be under warranty from Traxxas right? If that's the case, then I think you can just send it in and get a new one...

When I purchased my truck it came with a form talking about the warranty and even when the warranty runs out, you can send the motor in and get a 50% discount on a new motor. Pretty good deal if you ask me. However, it's been a couple of years so perhaps Traxxas has changed their policy...
