sounds too perfect to be true, pretty sure it's an email urban legend... can anyone confirm that suspicion for someone too lazy to look it up?

I found this, but I'll keep digging: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/ollienorth-osama.htm

"According to the Congressional Record, there was no mention of Osama Bin Laden during the Iran-Contra hearings by Oliver North or anyone else. In fact, there was no mention of Osama Bin Laden in the Congressional Record at all in 1987, the year of the hearings.

Also, Senator Al Gore was not a member of the joint House-Senate Iran-Contra Committee and did not do any of the questioning."

This was on the news a few weeks ago. They played the actual video clip. It was not bin Laden, it was Abu Nidal, another terrorist.

Yep. Chalk this one up to another urban legend.

Nice little piece of misinformation if you have a political axe to grind, but it's not factual...

Man... I remember watching that when I was a kid. :2far:

But I couldn't remember the exact conversation. Good thing to know for future reference though! :thumb:
