Ok, we all know all star voting is jacked up, but look at the eastern guards right now. Jordan starting along side Allen Iverson. Oh my God, that's gonna be sick. Its gonna be tight

To tell you the truth, I'm getting a little worn out on Allen Iverson. I think it should be Jordan and Jason Kidd in the backcourt. The all star game should be about showing off...can you do much better than a sick ally-oop to Vince-sanity, or MJ? But, if you really feel that Iverson should be starting, then they should move MJ to the 3, Iverson to the 2 and let JKidd start at the point. In the end, I guess it doesn't matter though...it's gonna be pretty fun to watch!

i watch the game every year and stop watchign at the half. a 150-140 game isn't fun to me. the dunks and stuff are nice, but i can catch that on Sportscenter. have fun tho...

Yeah he is...anyone who can take a last place team and put them in first has got to be good. Personally, I see him as the front runner for the MVP this year.

I agree. It seems the Nets are going to get a Suns-like 50+ win record, and the Suns are deteriorating into the Nets :(

While I think that J. Kidd is definately a canidate for MVP, I don't disagree with the decision to get rid of him. First of all, Colangelo absolutely does not tolerate off-the-court criminal behavior. First he got rid of Bobby Chouinard of the D-backs who pulled a gun on his wife, then he got rid of drunk, pot-smokin' DUI Cliff Robinson. The fact that J. Kidd hit his wife is only part of the reason, though. The Suns had the same Kidd-Robinson-Rogers nucleus for 4 years and never did any damage in the playoffs. He needed to shake things up. On paper, I liked the Marbury trade, and during the first 1/3 of the season it seemed to work.

Now the Suns are in disarray...

well other then the fact you loose 4-5 assists and 4-7 rebounds...

Colangelo had to do something to shake things up in Phoenix, since they weren't living up to expectations. Of course only having Penny Hardaway play with Kidd for only a few games in the last 2-3 years didn't help.
I didn't really like the Marbury trade from the Suns spot. They get a really exciting PG, but one that could cause all kinds of issues with Penny (i.e. not enough shots to go around). I think that the Suns needed to do something about the lack of a big man before they traded Kidd...but I'm sure Kidd hitting is wife didn't help.

That's the same argument I've heard for the last decade. The problem is that there just aren't many big men out there to get, and even if there were, the Suns are capped out and can't sign them.

The Suns original plan was to build around Jason Kidd and Antonio McDyess - unfortunately when Dyess weirded out and went back to the nuggets, the Suns panicked and signed Gugliotta to a 50+ million contract. Then they signed Penny to an 86 million contract. Both have been major "busts" and the Suns are stuck with their guaranteed contracts for the next 3-4 years. Sux to be a Suns fan. Just waiting for baseball season to start up again!
