ok, so I just spent 20 minutes or so trying to compose a calm, logical reply to the flames that were going on in the "Gay Marriages in Norway" thread. I tire of the stupid flame wars that get started and we never end up getting to "discuss" important topics....there's just a lot of shouting on both sides of the argument.
So I thought that MAYBE, just maybe, if I tried to post something substantive and rational, others would join in and we could at least drown out the flamers and maybe learn something about other points of view in the process (I know, I'm hopelessly idealistic).
Anyway, when I hit the "Submit Reply" button, I found that the thread had been locked while I was typing my response. Which is understandable. It was starting to get ugly and I'm glad Apex is keeping stuff under control. I'm more just bummed because my post was lost and all the time I spent on it was wasted. Not to mention that my priceless thoughts disappeared into cyberspace :D.
anyway....maybe next time I'll get to say something....
