site problem

[confusion]

I e mailed someone an internet link and they verified it was correct but the site does not come up for them. I see it ok here, and i know that the connection on their end is up because they can visit other sites. Any idea what could be causing this?

Most likely either a DNS or a firewall issue. Send them the IP address rather than name - if they can get thru with the IP, it's a DNS issue on their side. If they still get nothing, then there is probably a firewall on their side blocking the site.
