Windows 2000 Problem..Need Help

I have a Fuji Finepix 1400 digital camera which used to work great thru my Win98...but I built a new system with Win2000....
Now, when I plug into the USB port, I get a memory dump..

Here is what Ive found:
Microsoft knows about this problem stated at

However, they do not have a public fix for it. Since I am not a beta tester I cant get the patch either. So what am I suppossed to do?
Are there any beta testers who have access to this fix? I have heard that its available at some Microsoft Beta website...

Can anyone help? Or help me figure out how to fix this problem. I have downloaded drivers from Fuji and all but I just cant get it to work properly because there is some type of conflict with Win2000.

If you haven't tried already, I recommend downloading Service Pack 2 (or whatever they're at for Win2k). It might solve the problem for you.

It doesnt include the fix I need. The fix I need is unreleased and would be released in SP3 I believe....

If you do get a card reader, don't buy PNY. It doesn't work with XP yet. I get a cool memory dump whenever I plug my card reader in.
