1) Use the OfficeMax $25 off $100 coupon here. (http://www.ableshoppers.com/OfficeMax_coupons.shtml)
2) Place the 40 gig drive in your cart, print the $30 rebate. (http://www.officemax.com/pdf/2002_01/WD_1.pdf)
3) Order using your Amex Blue just in case of price matching problems.
4) Follow OfficeMax's pricematch policy & submit price match for www.allstarshop.com's 40 gig drive @ 90.95 + ~10.23 shipping = $101.18. (this is shipped to my zip, YMMV)
5) Send in your rebate.
Total:
$101.18 ($129.99 PMed)
+ $6.07 tax (Michigan, 6%)
-$25 off $100 OM coupon
-$30 WD rebate
= $52.25
And after all the positive/negative comments about WD drives I've read, I am still a strong supporter of Western Digital. They have fantastic customer service people and do not treat you like an idiot (like Maxtor has done in the past). And should your drive ever die they will send you a replacement *before* you have to send the old drive back. The drives also run very quiet.
Best,
