Well this definitely is one of those mixed good bad things. I spoke with my father the other day concerning and up coming family function and whether I should plan to fly back from California to attend it. Part of the issue was whether he was going to go or not, and if so, if he wanted me to bring along my younger sister too. My father then told me that he didnt think that they were going because they were going out of the country. He then said that I could go with them if I wanted. I asked where and he told me Costa Rica, which is a place I have always wanted to go.

Now the problems are:
A) my fiance just got a new job and so she wouldnt be able to go with me. Which would basically be the first time we havent been together for a vacation in 3 years and ostensibly the first time apart for more than 3 days in 3 years. On top of that I know that she wants to see Costa Rica took, and as such it would kind of be an jerky thing for me to do.

B) My father told me that since everyone is going including one of my younger brothers friends that he would not have room for me in the car. Now I could rent a car and it would be no big deal, or I could take the public buses (which I have done in several carribean countries, always fun) but at the same time that strikes me as a major hassle.

C) Fundage - unless he pays for my flight i dont think I can afford it.

On the bright side:
A) get to see Costa Rica - probably go diving and fishing
B) See my family - who I havent seen since July and my younger sister who i havent seen in over a year. (she was at camp last time I went home)
c) Get to unwind when I know I will need to

So, as you can see, I am in a rather perilous position. I would love to just say, Hell yes. BUt at the same time, I have certain reservations. Well I guess I will discuss it with my fiance and then check on airfare.

So why not wait and go to Costa Rica as your honeymoon? :D

Well that would be a good idea, but we were planning on doing something a bit more exotic on our honeymoon. Such as chartering a sail boat around the carribean or west indies for a few weeks. I think we both view costa rica as some place we would love to go, but not for our honeymoon.
