Help!

Okay, I went to the grocery store today and they declined my debit card for funds. ?? I have money in my acct.

Got home and saw a $65.70 charge on my acct that I have no idea where it came from.

Called my bank. They were able to give me Litterford Ventures 212-514-0311 and zip code 11204. I checked the zip out to be Brooklyn NY. I cannot find any info on Litterford Ventures and when I called the number it's busy.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to find out what business this business has?

I have a new card on the way to me, but I can't fight the charge until Tuesday cuz right now it is still pending.

chrissy, I tried everything I could think of off the top of my head...the ph # several times showed up unknown...411.com and switchboard.... google searches on the biz name came up empty. Even the BBB of NY resulted in nothing...sorry babe.

your bank should be on your side for this one. i wouldn't worry too much, especially since it's not a huge amount.

If the charge is still pending, can't you just have your bank cancel it? Either way, it sucks.

Well, let's get you all updated cuz I have to vent. :)

I called on Tuesday and the charge hadn't cleared yet. Found it was Ritterford not litterford but it still doesn't make a difference. I never heard of it. Found that the charge happened at noon. Well if it was noon my time, I was in the shower and if it happened noon est time, I was sleeping. Supervisor attempted to stop the charge, but she couldn't. So I waited till it cleared.

That happened today.

I checked this morning and there it was, not once, but 4 times!
*sigh*
Same amt each time. I called and talked to my bank. Now it goes into a claim process. I am negitive a few hundred in my acct now. But I have learned my lesson. I am taking DF's advice and I am not using my debit card as a Visa anymore. I don't want a credit card (I am not good with them and with me not working, I don't think it's fair for Donnie to pay my interest rates) so I don't know what I am going to do. My acct won't be credited for the maditory 5 days until they put a temperary credit into it. Bad thing is, I have bills that are paid directly from my acct, so I hope this is all taken care of by the 4th of next month.
