My story…
So I finally got my MX300 to stop crashing in Win2k (it was the VIA PCI latency issue) and I thought I’d give gaming in Win2k another go…downloaded the newest Radeon drivers for win2k and win98…
I ran 3DMark in Win98 (I currently dual-boot) and got a score of 2700
I then ran 3DMark with the same settings, and got a score of 2632!
I’ve never seen Win2k scores anywhere near Win98 scores.
I ran Empire Earth in both win98 and win2k at 1152x864, and it ran great in both resolutions…and the gun-fire smoke looks really cool now.
Why dualboot now? Win2k runs just as fast as win98!
Well done on those Win2k drivers ATI!
(Versions are: win98-9008u, win2k-6018u)
