with that said....when I try to logon to my home computer by remote access, here at work, and my girlfriend is already on it, it won't let me logon, saying that another Admin is already logged in and it asks me if I want to continue, I say yes....but half way through the process of loading....she boots me off.

I tried changing her acct to a regular user but that doesnt seem to help.

Can anybody help me with this?

I know when I use remote desktop at home, the remote machine (actually across the room) displays a login screen. The user (me) is still logged in locally at the remote machine. If I type my password at the remote machine, the remote desktop session is ended. Your girlfriend can't be using the machine if you're trying to use the machine remotely with remote desktop.

What do you need to do with the remote machine? Do you need full access, or access to your files? Can you just use ftp? Another alternative is VNC (virtual network computing). The main site (www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/) is down now, but here's another site with info: http://www.synik.force9.co.uk/vnc/.
