We have noticed lately a lot of referral links in the deals section. As it is stated clearly on the front forum page, there are to be no referrals on the Deals Forum. There are several reasons we do not allow this--The owner of Got Apex? makes quite a bit of his money via referrals, and since this is his page and we save a lot of money through his page, we need to save all the referrals on the deals pages for him. Another reason is that many people do not like Multi-Level Marketing deals and do not want to have to wade through them. Therefore, any referrals that we see in the Deals Forum will be automatically moved to the correct forum and then deleted from the wrong one. Also, it is NOT permissible to link to the MLM, Referrals, & Spam Forum via the Deals Forum. That is simply a way to cheat the rules. Thank you for your patience and understanding! If everyone follows the few rules we have, everyone will have a much more pleasant experience and everyone will benefit.
I agree and for people who don't agree, ask yourself this. Without this forum, where would you even find deals? You owe it to apex to give him his due referalls.

I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention again, since not everyone read it before. Please follow these simple rules! Thank you!

OK I know this isn't Apex, the one we know, as the moderator...who are you? (If it is Apex, then I guess my judgement is off)..because i've realized quite a few "stricter" policies (not like I can complain, after all it's not my site)..but my main beef is with that "Thread Closed" stuff, it happens like 3 times a day now, sometimes even in topics that seem legit (at least to me) - like that Apex DVD Player for $89 scam post..how is that not related to deals? It was a shady deal, and people got ripped...i'm sure stuff like that should be "allowable." Just my two cents.

bubbagump, yes, any referrals are fine in the Referral forum! http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Even if it is something like All Advantage, in which Apex already has a stake in.
CiViC, I am a greenish looking monster that has come down from my home planet of Plerathon to take over the Earth. Got Apex? seemed like a good place to start! http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif No, seriously, we use our best judgement on posts that we think need to be in other topics. But we aren't a Communist Nation--if you seriously think something is unfair, post it in Off Topic or Suckage, and we will consider your opinion. Who knows, we have bad days, too, so sometimes we may be a little bit more strict than others. Deal? http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Thanks for the input. We really do appreciate it!

Please permit a stupid question. What are referrals? I'm new to this whole online thing. I don't want to put something on here that's "illegal" because I really like this site.

A referral is when you put a link that refers users to a site with your "referral id", so if people sign up on the site that you post, you get something out of it (normally money). Like if you were to tell people about AllAdvantage, and the link you put on there, had your user id, so when they signed up, they would sign up under you :-)
So basically, if you post a deal, don't put your id in the link so that you benefit from people signing up.
